February Sneak Peak Release Day 3

Hello, Divas! Toni with you today. We're on Day 3 of the CDD February Release and loving every minute of it--hope you are too!

Today I'm showcasing the upcoming Friend in Me, Donut Party, and Sorted Shapes 2 stencil. Too cute, right? I'm pairing them with Party DiesParty Border Dies, and Distress Oxides.

I started by blending a Distress Oxide card base using Salty Ocean at the top, Cracked Pistachio in the middle and Evergreen Bough at the very bottom.

Next I die cut the Party Border Fringe Die from sponged cardstock layering the negative to create a hill/pocket.  Notice how the Friend in Me critters tuck right in there? Imagine using this for gift cards!!!  Also notice how I used Distress Oxide Twisted Citron to pop the grass out visually with that touch of yellow-green.

The Party Dies have all sorts of balloon die shapes; I'm using the critter and heart shape here.  I sponged Distress Oxide Black Soot using the Sorted Shapes 2 stencil to mimic the spots on a panda. Note to self: spot up the cardstock then die cut the balloons for less inky fingers! I colored the heart using Copics.  Ranger Multi Medium Matte was perfect for gluing the twine to the balloons.

To finish the card I used Scor-Tape and a bit of foam adhesive to adhere the critters and balloons to the card base. I love that little photobombing panda--so cute! The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black, my absolute favorite ink for sentiments. Voila!

Have you started your wishlist yet? Stop by the store on Friday to grab your favorites before they're gone!
