Small Images Big Background With DT Marine

Hello everyone, it's Marine from DT! I hope you like the new release as much as I do! Today I'm sharing three cards I made using small images to create cute and colorful backgrounds. Very simple to make: stamp and color! ^^

The blue one showcases the new "Look For Stars" stamp set. This new set is very soft and dreamy so I used blue to color the background. The rainbows and stars bring a nice contrast with their bright colors.

The green one was inspired by the April Mood Board Challenge which is all about Easter. I used cute bunnies from the "Jellybean Kisses" stamp set and other images from the "Easter Cuties" digi stamp set. The green background represent the grass where we hide the chocolate treats ^^

The orange one is a Spring celebration, even if when I write this post it's raining where I live... I used the "Ladybug Garden" stamp set and a lot of colors so it would help the sun coming out from behind the clouds! ^^

I hope you'll like these colorful cards, have a beautiful day and see you soon!

Small Images Big Background With DT Waleska

Hello Friends Waleska here to share a very cute card showing you how you can use some of the small images that come on most of your stamp sets, I find that this small images can help you create some quick and simple cards, and because they are small stamps you even save time on the coloring...

For my card today I started with the background... Have you check out the amazing new Cloudy Sky Stencil? It is amazing to create a quick and beautiful skys, to color it I used Oxide Inks in colors Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio, I die cut this piece with the largest of the Fancy Frame dies.

I decided to use one of my favorite stamp sets called Special Delivery, this set has some cute critters and lots of mail related small images, I choose some letters in different sizes and a little birdie to create my card today.

After I colored my little birdie, I cut and adhere all the small stamped images with 3D Foam, I also adhere some small sequin stars and I stamp the sentiment to a banner.

Now is your turn, look for those small stamps on your stamp sets and create quick and fun cards!

Small Images Big Background With DT Cheryl

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Cheryl from the DT here to show you how to use small stamps to add a subtle background to your planner pages! For this planner layout I'm using the Look for the Stars Clear stamp set!

First I created an ombre background using distress oxide inks. I used the colors Shaded Lilac, Broken China, and Faded Jeans. I masked off the areas that I did not want distress inks on with post-it notes.

Using a foam blender, I gradually worked each color onto the planner page.

Then I removed the post-it notes and then repeated the same process for the other planner page.

Next, I used the little stars from the Look for the Stars stamp set to add more to the background. I like that it adds more visual interest to the page, but isn't so busy where I can still write on the pages!

Then I add some images that I had stamped out onto sticker paper.

Lastly, I colored in the images, wrote in the date and a wrote in a sentiment! I hope you like the planner pages I created using small stamps as a background!

Small Images Big Background With DT Lynnea

Hey there, everyone! It's Lynnea and I have a card using the new Mommy To Be stamp set! I love to create my own backgrounds, so I used some of the smaller images to create a stamped background!

I started by stamping the stork image twice - once with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto my card base along with the sentiment and once with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of cardstock for Copic coloring.

I selected a few of the small images from the Mommy To Be stamp set and arranged them randomly on my card base.

I picked all of them up at once with my MISTI and stamped them in a light gray ink. I repeated this process until my whole card base was covered with the images.

It's okay that I overlapped my stork image in places. I only stamped it onto the card base so that I would know where I wanted the image to go.

I colored my stork image with Copics and cut it out with my scissors.

I popped up the image with foam squares and gave it a healthy dose of Wink of Stella!!

Thank you for joining me!!

Small Images Big Background With DT Janni

Hi Friend, DT Janni here.

Today I want to show you how I made this cute baby card using small stamp images to create my own pattern paper.

I wanted to make a cute mommy to be card and for that I used the brand new 'Mommy To Be' stamp set. I Started by stamping the lille bodystocking with black ink on a piece of Neenah cardstock. I made sure to stamp it in different directions each time.

Then I stamped with the little heart around the bodystockings. This time I stamped in the same direction.

Time for some Copic coloring, and for that I used G0000-G000-G00.

I used Copic C1 to color a shadow around all the stamped images, that gives the card some dimensions.

I cut the card using the scalloped frame from 'Fancy Frame Dies' and that's how you make the cutest pattern paper background with small stamp images.

I stamped the sweet sentiment 'For The Mommy To Be' on a banner I made with 'Flag Banner Dies'. and placed it on a banner in aqua cardstock. I added some sequins from 'Fairy Dust Sequins'

Here you have the cutest little baby card for the mommy to be <3

I hope you enjoyed reading about my card.

See you soon.
