Easy CAS Birthday Cards using Stencils, Stamps and Sequins

Whether you're a new or seasoned stamper, you might have struggled with the clean and simple (CAS) style cards. It can be tempting to add more to your design but when it comes to CAS, less is always more! This is a great style to use when creating multiple birthday cards at once.

Michelle is on the blog today to share how she creates a stash of CAS birthday cards quickly using stencils, stamps and sequins. Keep scrolling to hear more!

Stencils are an easy way to add color and design to your cards. Craftin’ Desert Divas has many stencils to choose from. Today Michelle used the hexagon portion from Sorted Shapes 1 Stencil.

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

  1. Begin with an A2 card, size 4 ¼ x 5 ½.
  2. Secure stencil and ink up.
  3. Select your word die.
  4. Ink up the bottom portion of cardstock.
  5. Secure the word die so when you cut, it resembles an ombre effect.
  6. Choose your sentiment stamp.
  7. Once you are happy with the design, adhere the word die cut and stamp the sentiment.
  8. Lastly, add your finishing touches.
Have fun mixing up the stencils, inks and embellishments!
