Stretch Out Your Stamps/Dies With DT Janni

Hi Crafty Friends, Dt Janni here.

Today I want to show you how I made this fun background for my shaker card, using a slider die in a untraditional way.

I started by cutting a white background using 'Fancy Frame Dies'  and as you can see I found the slider die from 'Ocean Border Dies' and the size is perfect for the background.

I placed the background on my Big Shot, and used washi tape to keep the slider in place before cutting.

First cut, ready for the next.

Time to cut the next, and again using the same technique and making sure its placed in the same way.

Here you see the result after 6 times through the Big Shot - I think it looks awesome, and I know I'm going to try this again.

I'm going to make a shaker card so I used the 'Fancy Frame Die' again this time on acetate for the window. After taping the acetate to the panel I added foam tape on the back.
The sequins I'm using are Orange and Yellow star sequins and shimmer sequins.

Shaker done, love the colors and shapes.

I used the cutest flamingo from 'Tickled Pink' and colored her up with my Copics. My color combo for the Flamingo R00, R11, R42, R22 and C3, C5, C7. Icecream G000, G00 and Y00, Y02, Y04.

The final result - a fun and colorful spring shaker. The sentiment are from 'Treasure Trolls'.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you got inspired by this post.

See you soon again.

Hugs,
Janni
