Interactive Shaker Card with DT Janni

Hi Divas - DT Janni here.

Today I want to show you how I make my favorite interactive cards - shaker cards! Or actually I made a snowglobe shaker Christmas ornament, and here it is hanging on the Christmas tree.

For this card I started at my Big Shot with the 'Shake It Up Dies'. I used the circle die from the set three times, two in white cardstock, one in acetate for the window. I took one of the white circles, and used the middle sized die from 'Inside Scalloped Circle Dies' on it, to make a frame for the front of my card.

I wanted a blue background for my snowglobe so I used my Distress inks in 'tumbled glass' and 'salty ocean' to color a blue background.

Then it was time to color up this little cutie from 'Christmas Wishes'. Isn’t she just perfect for my snowglobe shaker <3 I used my Copics for the coloring, and here is my combos:
Skin: E21-E11, Cheeks: R20, Eye: B00, Hair: E35-E37, Cake onesie: E30-E53, Purple: V12-V15, Mini snowglobe: BG0000, Snowman; E0000. After the coloring it was time for some fussy cutting.
Sentiment is also from 'Christmas Wishes'.

I made a little snow hill for the cutie to sit on, and colored a little shadow beneath her. I used 'Simply White' Nuvo drops on the background around her, to make it seem like it's snowing. I poked a little hole on the background for the ribbon. I added glossy accents on the little snowglobe, so it looks like glass.

When I make shakers using a round window, I always cut out a round piece of 3d foam in the same size as the window. That way I can cut a thin stripe all around it using my scissor, and add it to the back of the window, and I don't have to worry about the sequins to fall out.

Now the only thing left was to add the sequins to the window, glue it together and add the stand for the snowglobe. For the shaker I used 'Shimmer Sequins' and 'Star Sequins Blue'.

Here is the final result, I hope you like it.

See you soon again.

Hugs, Janni
