October Release Day 2

Hello Everyone!! It's Lindsay from the DT here with you today sharing my final card(s) for this amazing October Release! Today, I used the brand new Snow Flurries Stencil along with the new Sending Dies & Sending Sentiments to create two fun Christmas cards. This design could easily be switched up to create a birthday card or really any occasion, just switch your color combos!! I have a video tutorial below to share exactly how I put these cards together. Be sure and watch it below!!

To start I cut two pieces of white card stock with the largest rectangle in the Inside Scalloped Rectangle die set. For this part of the project I actually needed the inside pieces, which I overlaid with the stencil. Using my Distress Inks I first colored some Gel Medium and pushed it through the stencil on one of the pieces of card stock. For the second piece, I colored some Whipped Spackle with the same Distress Inks and put it through the stencil as well. The gel medium eventually tried slightly translucent and more flat, while the spackle stayed dimensional and creamy.

I did quite a lot of die cutting for this card, so here's the run down. I cut two Box Dies from kraft, another inside scalloped rectangle die from kraft, two sending outlines also from kraft, and finally the sending die twice from red card stock.
Finished Card 4
Putting these cards together was super simple! I adhered the frame with dimensional adhesive and inserted the inner panel with the stenciling, adhering it flat onto the A2 side folding card bases. Next up was attaching the box dies in the bottom corner. I stuffed each box with some green "grass" or filler - be sure to watch the video above for a few tips on how to do this! Finally, I attached the sending sentiments and stamped the inside of each card with the Sending Sentiments Stamp Set!
