Halloweenies SVG Treat Bags

Hello everyone! It's DT member Laura here, from A bit of my crafts, with a fun project featuring the newly released Halloweenies SVG Treat Bag Add Ons. These cute SVG files, in combination with the Craftin Desert Divas Treat Bag Die, will allow you to create some adorable treat bags for Halloween! If you are unfamiliar with how to use SVG files, you can check out this very nice tutorial on the Craftin Desert Divas YouTube channel - it helped me a lot :)
To start off this project I cut the different shapes for the little add-on faces using my Silhouette Portrait. I picked cardstock in different colors, based on the particular element I was cutting. To make things easier, and to make sure that I was not going to lose any of the little cut outs, I stored them in small ziploc bags. I wanted to assemble the witch, the bat, and the Frankenstein cat, so I put all the cut outs for each character in a separate bag. This way, when it was time to glue everything together, I already had all the pieces sorted out. ;)

I then went ahead and cut three bags using the Treat Bag die - because of how the die is designed, this means that I cut a total six pieces of cardstock, two for each color. I tried to pick colors that I had already used to cut out the add-ons, so that everything matches nicely.

I also have a little suggestion for you: when I took apart the dies in the Treat Bag set, I made sure not to remove the one that cuts the opening on the top of the bag, as you can see in the picture below. This way I am sure that it will always be placed correctly, and consistently across my cut outs. :)

At this point it was just a matter of gluing everything together. To assemble the treat bags I followed this very nice demo on the Craftin Desert Divas YouTube channel, and for the characters I referred to the image file that comes with the SVG add-on and shows examples of how you can put the different little faces together.
As a final touch I cut a tag from some black cardstock using one of the dies in the Craftin Desert Divas Treat Bag Die set, and I tied it to the Frankenstein bag using some white and black bakers twine.
And that's it for today's post! I really loved how easy it was to assemble this fun little treat bags: it didn't take a lot of effort at all, and the result is incredibly cute!
I really hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope I inspired you to create with this fun die set and the adorable Halloweenies Treat Bag add ons! You can find the list of  supplies I used at the end of this post, and I wish you all a great day!
