Sending Bugs And Kisses...

Hey, y'all! It's Lissa! I've asked Tara if I could share a card today using the set Ladybug Garden.

I stamped out the ladybug holding the pot of flowers, the caterpillar, and a flower. I cut them out and to make the antenna on both the ladybug and the caterpillar, I used some thin wire that I adhered with Glossy Accents. I've found this is the best way to hold the wire and keep it from moving.

To create my scene, I used the middle rectangle from the Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies. These dies really help frame out a scene on a card. They've quickly become one of my go to dies! Plus, that double stitched edge is to die for (pun totally intended)! It's layered 3 times with kraft cardstock. I also cut out the fence and a layer of grass from the Outdoor Landscape 2 dies. I sponged Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink over the grass layer and I used Broken China Distress Oxide ink for the sky.

Here are a couple close ups so you can see the detail in the images. In these you can really see the wire I used for the antenna.

I do hope you've enjoyed my card and it has inspired you to go create something using the amazing CDD products! For more details, please be sure to check out my blog post at Purr-fectionist Crafter.
