January Product Release Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of the CDD January Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop.
All stamps & Dies are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

Here's what I've created for you...

I was going for a CAS card. I have a hard time with white space on my cards. I don't think I did too bad on this one. I've used the new Scent stamp skunk for the image on this card and how cute can one skunk be? I've decided to put the letter from Little Birdie stamps under his arms.  I stamped out two images and while I was coloring my skunk in with my Copic markers I colored in an extra set of arms and cut them out. Then I paper pieced them on top of the letter to make it look like he was holding a letter.

I've used the Stitched In Circle Dies to cut out my base. The red base is from Tim Holtz distress ink. I then took the 4 heart stamp from Sweet Kisses to stamp them around the border and they fit perfect around them. I finished it up with the sentiment and some CDD sequins.

For this card I just took some Kraft cardstock and made the base from Banner Dies. I then stamped the tea cup from Kitchen Cuties. The only thing I did was highlight the edges with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I thought I would show a way you can still use these images and not have to color with markers.
Here's a close up. I added a few of the new Pink Heart sequins and sentiment and it was complete.

  25. Just wanted to mention that Patricia's blog is not allowing me to leave a comment. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but I have been trying for about an hour now and it keeps saying error. So Patricia if you see this, here is the comment I was trying to leave on your blog: Holy smokes! Both are absolutely gorgeous but I am flipping out over the background on the mouse card! It's stunning!

  27. Tara, great job on both your cards. I love the simplicity of using red, white, and black on your first card. Things just seem to pop with these basic colors. And stamping all those hearts around the skunk adds just the right detail to fill in the space. And I really appreciate when you show us different techniques so that I can always be learning from you. Today it was using the pencils to outline the stamps of the teacups. It makes for a really nice, subtle background. TY!
