Red Carpet Studio "Sweet" Challenge

It's the fifth Sunday of the month, which means we're having an anything goes challenge featuring the card design team AND the layout design team!

Our challenge this week is inspired by "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Create any sweet-themed project! Cards layouts, 3D, altered items, any paper crafts are welcome as long as they feature something sweet. Think candy, cupcakes, cookies, etc.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Vampire Craftin! One lucky, randomly chosen winner will receive a FREE blog makeover!

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday January 8th and will receive a special badge for their blogs.

Here's my project for this week's challenge:

This was a super quick card to put together. My girls love peanut butter and jelly!! When I saw these on Lettering Delights Stuck on You file, I knew these would be a big hit at my house. The papers are all from my stash. I did ink around the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. Added PK491 Everyday Character Faces, Cardz TV Garden Greetings sentiment, Recollections crafting tape and 3 small buttons and it was complete. This weeks prize is a blog makeover!!! How awesome would that be to win. Hope to see your entry this week.

Happy New Year!!

I decided for my celebration project I would share my daughters birthday party invitation. My oldest daughter Alivia's birthday is on Christmas day. We celebrate it early so her friends can attend, this is the card/invitation I made for her 10th birthday party.

This is from Kadoodle Bug Designs Birthday Party Dogs. I used glitter on the balloon and tied it to his hand with twine. I did add some "sprinkles" to the cupcakes by adding Liquid Pearls.

Oh Christmas Tree Blog Hop

Welcome to the Oh Christmas Tree Blog Hop, brought to you by the design teams of Made Especially For You and Red Carpet Studio!

Today the design teams of Made Especially For You and Red Carpet Studio have teamed up to share with you all sorts of Christmas tree projects to help you get ready for the Christmas season!

If you're looking to start at the beginning of the hop, please visit Ashley's blog. If you've come from Tonya's blog, you're in the right place!

For today's hop, I made...

For this hop we all made a card with a Christmas tree on it. I wanted to do something different so I chose to use my Art Philosophy cartridge to get the shape of the tree. Then I used a Close To My Heart stamp to get the design on the tree. I stamped the design with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Had to add a little bling to the trees, so I used Liquid Pearls to make it look like tiny ornaments. I'd like to wish you a Happy Holiday!!

We have some wonderful sponsors giving away prizes to those who comment on every stop of the hop!
Paper Piecings by Nikki
$15 Gift Certificate

$6 worth of digital stamps

Participants have through Sunday evening to hop. The winners of the blog candy will be announced on Made Especially For You on Tuesday December 18th. Please make sure to leave your contact information when commenting to be eligible to win!

Your next stop is Kristy's blog. Here's the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way:

Happy Hopping!

RCS#14 Frosty The Snowman

It's time for another card challenge!

Our challenge this week is a card challenge - create a card featuring either a snowman or snowflake.

This week's challenge is inspired by the classic Christmas movie, "Frosty the Snowman."

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments! The winner will receive their choice of three digital stamps.

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday December 18th and will receive a special badge for their blogs.

Here's the card I made ....

Here's my first digi card. This is an adorable snowcouple image that was provided to us by Crafty Sentiments Designs. The background papers are from Paper Studio Cardstock and Bo Bunny Mistletoe Collection. I cut out two of the large lacey circles from Spellbinders Nestablities. I thought the sentiment from Cardz TV Snow Day was just perfect for this card! What a great challenge with the holidays here.

Make it a great day!!

Here's my project for this challenge:

This santa bag is from SVG Cuts Big Christmas Gift Bags SVG Kit. He was really simple to put together. I used paper from my stash. I did use my Cuttlebug Divine Swirl folder for his moustache. Added a little rhinestone bling in his hat and some glitter on his hat to finish him off. I do think it would have looked a little better if I had prettier paper inside the bag itself, but that's all I could find today. Blue & White are great colors for a Christmas project so make sure you join in on this challenge. Can't wait to see what you make!!
